Veda Calendar “Jyestha Month” <SUWARU Evening Meditation>

Veda Calendar “Jyestha Month”<SUWARU Evening Meditation>

May 17th,24th and 31st Monday

Jyestha, like Lord Shiva, means the oldest, the greatest, the oldest of all beings, and the oldest of all.
You can receive divine favor by worshiping the sacred Ganges this month. Lord Shiva is known to have the Ganges in his head. This is because the Ganges River descended from heaven to earth by the grace of Lord Shiva. That is why you can be blessed by bathing in the sacred Ganges in the early morning before sunrise.
The first half of Jyestha month is considered very auspicious because the sacred waves of Jupiter, the Moon and the Sun reach the sacred river.
The full moon of this month is special, with married women performing special rituals at the foot of the Vata Vruksha for the health and longevity of their spouse.
This day is an important day to celebrate the widow Savatri, who fought against the god of death Maya and regained her husband’s life. Married women fasted all day long without water or food, and only after seeing the full moon in the sky in the evening or at night, it became a festival to pray for the health of their husbands by eating and drinking.
Yoggy can practice Chandra Bheda Pranayama in the Jyestha month, meditate in the full moon and receive its sacred energy.

In Suwaru, following this Vedic tradition, we will perform Chandra Bheda Pranayama, meditate on the full moon, and hold a session to raise our vibrations by filling the inner sacred energy.
